Terms of service

Playing Expandeers

These terms apply when you use Expandeers. By playing, you agree to them. You must be 13 or older to play. Expandeers is free to play and requires signing in with Google.

Your account is linked to your Google account. Your browser holds session tokens, preferences and local progress. Clearing browser data signs you out and may lose local progress and access to a seat. Sign in with the same Google account to return to your account. Access to your Google account is managed through Google. Keep session tokens and private replay links private.

Conduct

Reports and moderation

Use the in-game report button to report abuse or unsafe content. Reports can include recent chat as evidence. Report honestly and include details that help explain the issue.

You can mute players or hide chat locally. Room hosts can kick participants where the game allows it, and the chat filter can mask words. Filters can miss abuse or hide harmless messages. These tools do not guarantee that chat is safe, and Expandeers does not monitor every conversation.

Expandeers may remove content, restrict chat or suspend access for breaking these rules or to meet legal requirements. For questions about a restriction: Email [email protected]. See About and contact for what to include in your request.

Clubs and table nights

When clubs are available, only named pilot hosts approved by Expandeers can create them. Membership requires an invitation and your acceptance. Owners appoint organizers and may transfer ownership only when the named member accepts. Owners and organizers can remove or ban ordinary members. A club role does not make someone an Expandeers moderator. The conduct rules above apply to club names, descriptions, nights and invitations too.

Only current members may read a club or join or watch its linked tables and rematches. If you were seated when a game started, losing membership still lets you finish that game and access your own result and replay view, subject to account restrictions and session checks. It gives no access to club pages, room chat, watching or new tables. An RSVP reserves no seat. Nights are single dated events; Copy creates a separate night, with no automatic repeats or reminders.

You keep your rights in club and night text you write. You allow Expandeers to store and display it to members and invited recipients as described in the privacy notice, and to review it for safety. Shared text may remain after you leave or delete your account, with deleted authors anonymised. Deleting an owner's account archives their club and cancels future nights unless ownership was already transferred. Expandeers may disable a club under the moderation rules above.

Your chat messages

You keep your rights in your messages. Sending a message gives Expandeers a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to transmit, temporarily hold and display it to room participants, and to retain and review it as report evidence. This licence is limited to running the game and handling safety reports. It does not allow selling messages or using them in advertising. Ordinary live chat is not stored in game records or replays.

Game content

The artwork and audio in Expandeers were made for this game. Playing does not transfer ownership of Expandeers content to you. Names of third-party products belong to their owners. Third-party software has its own licences, listed in the third-party software notices.

Read the non-affiliation notice for more about Expandeers' independence.

Expandeers Supporter membership

Expandeers Supporter is a recurring Patreon membership. A verified paid membership gives your linked Expandeers account access to the five listed piece finishes and the private Premium badge for its paid membership period. These are temporary cosmetic benefits, not permanent purchases, and provide no gameplay advantage.

Patreon handles billing and shows the amount, taxes and renewal date before you subscribe. Cancel renewal at any time through Patreon or the billing platform identified by Patreon. Cancelling normally keeps your benefits until the paid period ends. A confirmed refund or payment reversal may remove the benefits funded by that payment.

Expandeers does not provide a buyer refund button or offer discretionary refunds for ordinary membership use or change of mind. This does not restrict mandatory consumer rights or refunds available under Patreon’s or the payment platform’s policies.

Not refundable, except where required by law or refunded under Patreon’s or the payment platform’s policies.

You must be at least 13 to use Expandeers and Patreon, and meet Patreon’s applicable account requirements. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian to purchase a membership.

Unlinking Patreon or deleting your Expandeers account removes the game connection; it does not cancel your Patreon subscription. Cancel billing separately before unlinking if you no longer want to pay.

Access depends on successful membership verification. If verification is unavailable for an extended period, cosmetics may temporarily become unavailable while we resolve it. Your access to the free game is unaffected.

Patreon’s own terms apply to your Patreon account and payments: Patreon Terms of Use and cancelling a paid membership.

Earlier finish purchases

Piece finishes are not currently sold individually. Finishes bought earlier as one-time cosmetic purchases stay on your account with no scheduled expiry while Expandeers operates. Those orders were processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for them, under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. They were final and not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or Paddle grants one; this does not limit any mandatory consumer rights, including rights for faulty, misdescribed or inaccessible products.

Contact Paddle Buyer Support for billing problems with those orders. An approved full refund or chargeback processed by Paddle removes only the finish that purchase supplied. Premium and finishes from earlier purchases, codes or grants are kept; a Patreon membership never shortens or removes them. Wins do not unlock finishes.

Availability and liability

The game may have errors, interruptions or lost progress. Features may change or become unavailable. Expandeers provides the game as available, without warranties to the extent the law allows.

Expandeers' liability is limited to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms removes rights or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Changes to these terms
